Dental Caries.
Dental caries is a very common problem. Bacteria normally reside in the mouth. They, however, mix with the proteins present in the saliva (spit) to form plaque and attach to the hard enamel surface of the tooth. The bacteria feed on food sugars and starches and produce an acid. This acid eats into the tooth enamel damaging the tooth. What are the symptoms? Initially there may be no symptoms while the enamel is being eaten away. Later, tooth sensitivity may be noticed. There may be discomfort while eating sweet foods and hot or cold drinks or foods. If the cavity becomes very large or a tooth abscess develops which may be accompanied by pain, swelling or fever. This is why it is important to have frequent dental check ups. If it hurts, it is already too late. How is it diagnosed? A dentist may identify the areas of decay quite early. Sometimes dental X-rays may be advised.

The standard treatment for a cavity is to fill the tooth. First, the dentist will numb the area. Then the decayed material in the cavity is removed and the cavity is filled. Fillings usually are made of dental amalgam or composite resin. Amalgam is a silver-gray material made from silver alloyed with copper or other metals to make it more durable. Composite resin offers a better appearance because it is tooth-colored.
Amalgams are used primarily in molars and premolars. Resins are used primarily in the front teeth, although it is possible to use them in all teeth. Gold inlay may be used if greater strength is needed, but this is more expensive.
If a cavity is large, the remaining tooth may not be able to support the amount of filling material that would be needed to repair it. In this case, the dentist will remove the decay, fill the cavity, and cover the tooth with an artificial crown.

use wokadine solution for rinsing the mouth. eating gauva is good for health. bush 2 times a day. reduce chocolates and sweets. this will help u more.
