Suggest Remedies Soreness And Swelling Due To Injection

Hi,

I am sadly a drug user, and 4 days ago I injected into the crease of my inner arm. I was drunk and missed and was also quite rough. Its still tender and swollen but seems to be going down. I'm embarrassed to see a doctor because I know what I do isn't good. I go to rehab in 2 months.

Thanks, appreciate your help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello and thank you for asking HCM,

I undertsand your concern but it would be better to see your GP to examinate your hand. There is no reason for shame, a doctor job is to help the patient regardless of the cause of the accident.
If you still don't won't to visit your doctor observe your hand. f you notice swelling, redness or discharge, it would be good to still see your doctor as this may cause severe complications. Try to avoid using this hand for any kind of activity.

I hope this answer was helpful to you.
