Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband has been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation and a rapid heart beat. He has been prescribed Eliquis, Lopressor, and Cardazen. He also takes Effexor 150 ml, insulin, metformin and Flomas......... it seems like a lot of medicine and I wonder what he needs to watch for in terms of interaction or reduced effectiveness.
thank you for the question. There should be watch on pulse rate which should notfall below 50 anytime, secondly monitor BP which should stay above 90 systolic. Watch for any syncopy, blurriness of vision or speech slurring. there should be periodic check up on bleeding/clotting time, prothrombin time.watch for any breathlessness or dyspnea at rest
