Suggest Remedy For Burning In Stomach And Loss Of Appetite
i recently had a hip replacement the doctor has me taking 2 baby aspirin twice a day. its been over three weeks. now my stomach is burning and i just cant eat much. what do i do. i have stopped the aspirin and continue to take my etodolac which is an anti-inflammatory.. help
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history of hip replacement surgery and taking 2 baby aspirins a day causing pain in stomach, burning, can not eat much; stopped aspirin and started on Etodolac. I would advise you the following: Get started on a PPI like Omeprazole, antacid and Domperidone. Stop all medication, as you have been operated 3 weeks ago, you may not really need any painkillers or anti-inflammatory medication. Soft bland diet. Small frequent meals. If no relief, you may need an Upper GI Endoscopy.
