Hello, please excuse my spelling on some of these terms. I have frequent thigh cramps to both legs. This happens mostly as I sit, or upon getting up from sofa and sometimes while I'm in bed. Pain pattern can start on both thighs at the same time or start on one side then on the other thigh, but the worse episode started one the right thigh down to the calf then up and cross the pelvic, pubic area down to the opposite leg. I am not able to straighten up as I get intense pain , cramping. I usually try to get some heat with a heating pad or what ever I can come up with to get heat to my thighs. I then I can gradually straighten up pain fades but I'm left sore a few days sometimes. I do take supplemental potassium tabs, or bananas, watermelon thinking I sweat VERY much, as well as void, I also drink large amounts of fluids, mostly ice water, or ice black coffee. I've had lab tests to check my electrolytes, they are in normal levels. would you have an idea what maybe causing these cramps? I'm 62 yrs old, 5ft-2in., 225lbs. No diabetes, have high blood pressure and cholesterol and on 200mg troprol, 200mg micardis & 20mg lipitor. I take vidicon, soma, Tylenol extra strength as needed. I can not take anti inflammatory meds for too long as I start retaining fluids.
