Suggest Remedy For Dryness Of Eye Caused By Dettol

Hi I had a tiny cut on my finger so I used dettol. Washed my hands and then later washed my face using soap. A small amount of dettol that had absorbed into my fingers must have got into my eyes. I could feel a minor burn so I washed my eyes for 20 minutes each eye. They are slightly dry 3 days later. Should I be worried?

welcome!

I can realize your health worries.

Wash your eyes every 3 hourly. Don't worry about it, as it's going to settle at its own. Just keep washing and nothing else needed. If you feel itching start Loratadine tablet. Otherwise nothing needed. If dryness persists for longer than use Femicone eye drops.

Hope it helps. Consult your Ophthalmologist if nothing works.
Regards!
