Suggest Remedy For Dysfunction In Ear With Jaw Pain
Hi, I had a grommet placed for eustachian tube dysfunction my ear actually feels worse, I can not hear properly in fact worse than it was previously and hurts a lot. My jaw is extremely sore post surgery and would like to know what i could to improve this as do not want to be like this forever
As per your query you have symptoms of dysfunction in the ear with jaw pain which seems to post-surgical only. Need not to worry. I would suggest you consult ENT specialist for proper examination. The doctor may also check the bite plane as well to check TMJ movement and will start treatment accordingly. I would suggest you to - Eat soft food and avoid wide opening of the mouth. - Take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain. - Apply warm compresses and do warm saline gargles.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
