Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had mood disorder problems (crying a lot without a reason or being overwhelmed with joy without a reason). The doctor told me to try the pill before trying anti depressants. I feel like my mood is better but I have sometimes periods where i cry without a reason again
You have not described the time period you are suffering from this problem. You also did not mentioned about the pill you are prescribed. No comments about your sleep and presence of any kind of disturbed day to day activities also are there. The symptoms you described are more or less like bipolar disorder. But in this psychotic disorder patients are not aware about there problems most of the times. You may need a mood stabilizer along with psychotherapy. In case of conversion disorder patients are generally aware of their conditions. But there are so many disorders creating such kind of symptoms like borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia etc which should have to be ruled out. So its recommended to visit a psychiatrist for proper counseling and treatment if these symptoms really hamper your daily activities.
