Suggest Remedy For Extreme Cramping In Right Upper Abdomen

Hi, I am getting extreme cramping/ charlie horse feeling in my right upper abdomen (feels like my liver contracting/ cramping) everytime I try and do sit-ups. The pain is so bad that I have to stop working out and it feels as if an organ inside of me is tightening/ knotting up. It's under my right rib cage area. The pain only comes when I do sit-ups. I am a 34 year old female. Need to lose weight. Enjoy a few glasses of wine 3-4 times throughout the week. Worried that it's my liver??

hello,
1) if you experience this pain associated with excercise then probably it is muscular pain which you may feel sometimes due to vigrous excercise
2) if this pain occur spintaneously and associated with food intake then you might have stone in bile duct which block the bile duct and produce cramp like pain
3) stone in bile ducts are mainly secondary to gall bladder stones of which small stone nigrate into bile duct from gall bladder
4) to rule out condition proceed evaluation with liver function test and USG abdomen. If size of bile duct is increased on USG abdomen (indirect indicator of bile duct obstruction) then you might require MRI with MRCP of abdomen.
5) if USG abdomen couldn't find any abnormality theb you should proceed with CT scan abdomen in case of persistent abdominal pain
