Suggest Remedy For Extremely Painful Bump At The Top Of Anus
There s a bump at the very top of my buttcrack on the left side, it s very painful, it hurts to sit a certain way, it hurts to lay down. I tried to look at it to see what the bump looked like but it s not even noticeable, but I definitely know it s there because I can feel it. What is this lump? And can it go away fast?
Hello and welcome to HCM, A painful bump on top of buttocks can be due to infectious lesion like boil or furunculosis. Boil is a bacterial infection of the skin and its appendages and furunculosis is infection and inflammation of hair follicles. A clinical assessment is required to diagnose the condition. Treatment consists of pain killers for pain and an antibiotic ointment to control the infection. I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and thus prescription of medication.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
