I have recently been diagnosed with having an anal fissure and hemrrohids, I have had a colooscopy, I was told I did not need a banning done. I was only prescribed a Nitrate cream and suppositories. Yet and still I keep smelling a feces odor like I am passing gas coming from my butt. This is humiliating, what should I do?

Some advice that I can give to you is:
-Add fiber to your diet slowly to avoid problems with gas.
-Use topical treatments. Apply an over-the-counter hemorrhoid cream or suppository containing hydrocortisone, or use pads containing witch hazel or a numbing agent.
-Soak regularly in a warm bath or sitz bath.
-See a surgeon for the anal fissures.
