Hello,
Vomiting is a symptom that usually occurs secondary to a primary cause which in your sister's can be due to one of the following reasons as per the history that you have provided about her:
-
Intestinal obstruction due to the
ruptured ovarian cyst.
-Pathology related to inflammation like appendicitis,
diverticulitis,
inflamed lymph node masses and so on. It can be diagnosed by the following:
-
Ultrasonography of the abdomen.
-X-ray of the abdomen in standing position.
-Tests of stool, blood, and urine.
-CT scan of abdomen if needed. An opinion of a gastroenterologist and other specialists as per the reports of investigations so that a proper diagnosis can be done for proper management.
-Surgical correction if a surgical cause is found.
-Medicines as per the final diagnosis to get a possible cure.
-If all the reports are within normal limits then the cause may be related to functional problems.
-Jaundice and renal disease need to be sought after as a cause of vomiting. Proper management of the urinary case must be done.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
