Suggest Remedy For Heart Palpitation With Sore Throat

Hi I have symptoms of pale skin, tiredness, heart palpitations, headaches and a sore throat, and a stiff neck. I also have an uncomfortable feeling in my upper abdomen just under the chest area and feel like I have trapped wind a lot. I have tried indigestion tablets which seem to have no effect at all. I went to see my gp who just described me as feeling run down and to rest. This was over a week ago and I feel no better.

Hi Dear ,

Welcome to HCM,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have heart palpitation with sore throat . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like strep throat , viral pharyngitis and acid reflux . But in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are probably due to both upper respiratory track infection and laryngopharyngeal reflux . Sometimes infection from upper respiratory track spread to ear through eustachian tube and cause infection there . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order throat swab test , viral culture test and examination with laryngoscope . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics amoxicillin or penicillin , anti inflammatory and decongestants along with expectorant . Doctor may also refer you to gastroenterologist for acid reflux . For now do warm saline gargles and take ibuprofen of acetaminophen for pain .
