hi, i am rose from philippines. i ve been here in USA for almost 2 mos. i have hives and i am taking claritin 2x a day but it looks like it doesnt work for me, i want to ask if there is another type of medicine can i take aside from claritin?thank you..

Clari tine is an antihistamine, and used for allergic reactions, first of all the reason for the hives is to be diagnosed, for that the age is a deciding factor.
If you are a women, and above 40 years, it could be due to the pre menopause. Otherwise the reason may be the chronic infection like urinary tract infection etc.
I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment . Over the counter drugs may precipitate the condition.
