I have been on nuvaring for a year now. I have a history of irregular and breakthrough bleeding along with a progesterone deficiency. My doctor put me on the nuvaring, having it in for 3 weeks and then putting a new one in immediately after taking it out. I am still having breakthrough bleeding and am considering getting on mirena. Do you think this would be a good option for me or do you think I will have the same problems?
switching over to Mirena would be better for you,no doubt about that. Also rule out any other cause for the break through bleeding and irregular periods, apart from progesterone deficiency.
