Suggest Remedy For Hot Flashes After Changing Birth Control Pills
I was taking Gildess FE 1/20 birth control pill. my doctor changed the prescription to the Daysee pill. I had terrible hot flashes on a Daysee pill in the past so the Gildess pill was prescribed . When I recently went in for my office visit, they said it was the same pill, Gildess was the original and the Daysee was the generic and he put me back on the Daysee so my cycle would be 90 days, not 28 days. Are they really the same. The active ingredients are different on each package.
As per my clinical experience, the ingredients of Daysee and Gildess are not same, but different. The Gildess contains combination of Norethindrone acetate (1mg) and Ethinyl estradiol (0.02 mg) while The Daysee contains Levonorgestrol (Progestine) 0.15 mg and Ethinyl estradiol (0.03 mg) which has to be taken for 84 days followed by mustard Ethinyl estradiol for 7 days. The dosage and exposure of estrogen to your body is higher during intake of Daysee. That is the reason for hot flushes during intake of Daysee. Kindly discuss the issue with your treating OBGYN as this may require change of your drug currently consumed.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
