Hello,
You have missed periods for 4 months. Your pregnancy test came out negative. You do not have PCOS but have hirsutism. You have gained weight. PCOS is not the only cause of hirsutism, high androgen levels or if the hair follicles are more sensitive to androgens, they may develop hirsutism, Cushing syndrome,
adrenal gland disorder or certain medications.
Be careful of what medications you take to avoid trigger of hair growth. Get treated for hirsutism so that your hormonal levels are corrected. Treatment would include
weight loss, medication and a few other
hair removal options.
Irregular menstruation occurs due to anemia, poor general health condition,
overweight, hormonal problems,
thyroid dysfunction, etc. Get a complete medical check up done so that the cause will get treated at the earliest.
Stay away from addictions, smoking, alcohol, drugs, etc. Get clinically examined by a gynecologist, both the partners should attend consultation.
Infertility treatment is done for both the partners. Get the required blood tests and imaging tests done so that the pathology can be detected and treatment started at the earliest. In the meantime, take iron and protein rich food and take uterine syrups like Gynowin for better uterine health.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
