Suggest Remedy For Irregular Menstruation

Hi, My wife was taking treatment for irregular period & for pregnancy with one of doctor. She suggested duphastone for 3 months. In these three months her period was regular. In forth month period has not come post 10 days of expected period date. HCG showing negative results. Doctor suggested us susten 300 tablets. Is it helpful??? Is there any side effect of same??? Is there any proven method to get known about pregnancy???

Hello,

Your wife was taking treatment for irregular menstruation and for pregnancy. She was having regular periods for 3 months, thereafter she is due 10 days, has not got periods. Her hCG shows negative results. She is suggested to get clinically examined by a Gynae. She can wait for a couple of days and repeat pregnancy test with the first morning mid stream urine. She can also get a blood test done.

Her Gynae will do a per vaginal check up to detect bulky uterus in case of pregnancy. She can be asked to do a USG (Uterus and fallopian tube) done to detect pregnancy or ectopic pregnancy. In case of pregnancy, the gestational age of the fetus and its wellbeing can be studied in detail. Your wife should get confirmed if she is pregnant or not before taking any medicines & further treatment to be on the safer side.
