Suggest Remedy For Knee Pain Followed By Swelling.

I was wondering what I did to my knee? I am in cross country but I haven t experienced any injuries to my knee that I know of. All of a sudden my knee started to hurt on the bottom and sides of it and it started swelling, recently I heard a pop followed by a lot of pain and now I feel unstable at times when I walk. It hurts when I bend it to much, walk, sit, or even lay down if it s not propped up right. When I went in the first time to get it looked at they told me it was inflamed tendons and gave me an anti-inflammatory medicine but it s not helping. So what is wrong with my knee?

Hello,

I suggest you take the medications as prescribed, the symptoms will take some time to relieve. Moreover go for a digital X-ray of your knee, lateral and AP aspect to know the actual cause of pain.

You can upload it once it's done or can even show to some nearest orthopadition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Naira Jahangir, OB and GYN Specialist
