Suggest Remedy For Left Chest Pain And Weight Loss
AGE: 70YRS GENDER: MALE
FINAL DIAGNOSIS: Ca Lung NSCLC
COMPLAINTS: Admitted for 1st cycle of chemotherapy with c/o breathlessness, left chest pain, weight loss. Surgical history: none
Medical history: hypertensive since 7-8yrs
PAST INVESTIGATION
Bronchial biopsy 21 may 2011- moderately differentiated squamous cell carcinoma. CT SCAN chest 14 may 2011:: consolidation collapse It upper lobe with pleural effusion. Likely infective pathology. Bronchoscopy: 20 may 2011: growth left main bronchus. ? Ca lung. Bronchial wash+ Brush smear: 21may2011: squamous cell carcinoma. USG Whole Abdomen: 14may2011: Fleural effusion left side with prostatomegaly. Can you suggest the best treatment for him????
Here u have not mentioned which chemotherapy given to the patient for lung ca. So it is possible to experienced side effects such a breathlessness, chest pain and weight loss after giving chemotherapy. And patient's underlying condition of ca lung could be predisposing factor for chest pain and breathlessness. Wight loss is the main symptom of any carcinoma.
But dont worry if chemotherapy works better and it tolerated then, symptoms experienced above will be resolved later on.
