llost bowel and bladder without any warning.have lost bowel before quite frequently but never like this there was not any wrong color or constinancy of bowel it was as if l was on the toilet to empty both. l also have had a back problem for quite awhile
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history of loosing control over bowel and bladder, this is recurrent and there was nothing wrong with the color or consistency. It was as if you were on the toilet to empty both. Also have back problem. As per the short history of back ache with loosing control over bladder and bowel is indicative of of spinal cord problem and the causes can be: Trauma to the spinal cord by slipped inter-vertebral disc, infection, tumor and so on. This can be diagnosed by the following: Clinical evaluation and Neurological examination preferably by a Neurologist. MRI of the lower spine, preferably scanning of all the spine. Nerve conduction studies. Relevant blood, urine and stool tests. Proper medical or surgical management as per the evaluation and investigations.
