i was diagonosed with cervical cancer in march a 4 cm tumor was removed by radical hysterectomy .i hve always had problems with constipation . however sinc friday i have had diarrohea and severe abdominal pain and lower back pain . it has eased off a little but i feel full off wind and its painful and uncomfortable for me to pass wind and a weird feeling of uncomfortable when i need to go to the toilet . and my stools are very loose which is unusual for me
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. Noted that Radical Hysterectomy was done for cervical cancer in March. You had constipation problems in past and now have loose stools, pain in abdomen, bloated and so on indicating a possibility of intestinal infection. I would advise you the following in such a situation: Get a stool and blood tests done and if infection is present a course of an antibiotic, metronidazole, symptomatic treatment with antispasmodic and supportive treatment with probiotics, electrolyte solutions and so on should help you the best. If this does not help you, you need further clinical evaluation by a Gastroenterologist, colonoscopy, CT scan of abdomen and so on to get a proper diagnosis and appropriate management.
