Suggest Remedy For Loose Stools With Severe Cramping, Back Pain And Nausea While Having Malrotated Intestines?
I have a history in sphincter of oddi and pancreatitis. I've been having very loose stools with severe cramping that causes back pain and horrible pain down my legs-plus nausea. 31 female non-smoker and non-drinker..born with malrotated intestines.I took phenergan by mouth at 7 pm, but woke at 10 pm with more pain
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. Sphincter of Oddi dysfunction and pancreatitis can cause severe pain in abdomen and referred pain in the back. The resultant back changes can cause referred pain in the legs as Sciatica or so. Malrotated intestines can cause problems since childhood and if there are no symptoms in childhood then probably there will not be any symptoms now unless proved otherwise by barium studies under direct fluoroscopy control. Loose stools with cramping can be due to multiple causes like intestinal infection, and such disorders. Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation: Clinical evaluation by a General Surgeon. Investigations as advised by the Surgeon as per the clinical findings to get an appropriate diagnosis and have a plan of management accordingly. Till then have liquid diet. Take full rest. Maintain hydration well. If the pain and other symptoms are severe, you need an obvious admission to the hospital for institutional care and management.
