Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello my daughter is 3 years old she has multiple vertebrae anamolies. i recognised it when she was 10 months old.her milestones are normal. she is doing every activity like a normal child of her age .infact she is extra active. now i came to know she has flat foot and one foot is slightly turned inside. her spine problem according to 10 months is coronal clefting D5, hemi vertebra D6, butterfly vertebra D10 in mid and lower dorsal spine. left half of D6 vertebral body is visualised. D7 vertebra is hypertrophied.D11, D12 vertebra are not separately identified.
Unless the vertebral abnormalities in your daughter spine cause a significant scoliosis they may not require any treatment.
It is important that she at some point has an MRI of her spine to make sure that the structure and position of her spinal cord is normal and an ultrasound scan of her abdomen to ensure that her abdominal organs are normal as there can be associated abdnormalities in these locations assocaited with the congential spinal problem.
