Suggest Remedy For Nausea And Dizziness After Getting A Cochlear Implant
My 90 year old mother recently had a cochlear implant....a approx. 6weeks ago. This past week she has been hospitalized twice under observasion, for symptoms of severe dizziness, nausea, weakness, and confusion...The Drs. did a CT scan and ruled out stroke or whatever.....released her and 4 days later she s back in the hospital with the same symptoms....is it Meningitis or something else not even related to the implant? Help!
The nausea and dizziness after getting cochlear implant may be indicative of disturbances with inner ear endolymph system or conducting system of the ear. Guidance for better recovery: - Keep the ear plugged with sterile cotton plugs - Avoid sudden and angular movements of the head and neck - Supportive medications of anti-emetic such as Ondancetron, proton pump inhibitor as Rabeprazole, centrally acting drugs such as Cinnarizine or else
