Suggest Remedy For Pain In Jaws And Ears After Vomiting

I vomited today and rushed to a sink but I had to hold it in so as to not vomit on the floor . The pressure built up so much that my jaw and ears hurt very badly. Now my ears and jaw hurt and I have pressure buildup and ear popping. What is my problem?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
I understand your concern.
You have to hold your vomit in mouth and now you have feeling of pressure build up and ear popping. This is because some of the vomit fluid may have gone into the Eustachian tube which open in oropharynx and inflamed that.
My advice is you take some anti-inflammatory drugs like aceclofenac twice daily and tab famotidine twice daily for 5 days.
Meanwhile you should have your oropharynx and ear canal examined by ENT specialist. This will have look on any chances of infection there. Meanwhile you can do warm salt water gargling to soothe your throat and decrease inflammation and pain.
