I have been diagnosed with a uti. I am concerned because in a previous uti my sy.ptpms were more typical. This time I have a lot of pain on my left side and a feeling of pressure. I also have now just started experiencing a bit of burping. I just started antibiotics today. I have taken two cyprp.
Hello welcome to HCM. As there is just pain and no symptoms of urine is mentioned it is very difficult to tell whether it is UTI. Before starting antibiotics, Always get your urine tested for Urine routine examination which would include Urine Sugar, Urine albumin and Urine microscopy. If some abnormality is noted in the form of presence of RBCs and increased number of pus cells, you need to get Urine culture and sensitivity test done. It says you have urinary tract infection and has to be given a course of appropriate antibiotics. Now as you have already started complete the course and see whether there is decrease in symptoms. If decreses it is very good and it is UTI. If it does not decrease get one scan done after taking advice from the physician. Take care
