Suggest Remedy For Painful, Red And Swollen Collar Bone And Neck Area
2 weeks ago I went to lay down in bed and my collar bone and neck area hurt very badly. It is now very red, swollen. My cbc was normal. I can t lift my arm up. When I cough or sneeze it hurts. My orthopedic doctor took a x-ray, no break. Waiting for MRI. Just very, very, very painful.
Dear- thanks for using our service and will give you my medical advise. It looks that you have an acute inflammation of the collar bone and neck. You can try anti-inflammatory as ibuprofen to help the pain. You need MRI of the neck to evaluate for cervical stenosis and herniated disc. It is important to have an uric acid level ,rheumatoid factor, sedimentation rate to have more information of your bone problem.Xray is important to make sure that there was no fracture but MRI will give more information about the nerves ,muscles and bone. I hope that my advise has been helpful Dr.Sara
