Suggest Remedy For Painful Sensation In Lower Back And Hip Area
The other day while pumping gas, I felt a very painful pulling sensation in my lower back/upper hip area. The pain was crippling and my right knee would no longer bear weight. Now I ve noticed a severe weakness in trying to move my right leg to the right. If i lay on my left side I cannot lift my right leg up.
The problem seems to be at the level of your lower spine. It could be an Intervertebral disc prolapse or lumbar canal stenosis(that is narrowing of the space through which your nerves travel). These spine conditions can press on your nerves near the spine which can in turn cause excruciating pain and even feeling of weakness in the hip and legs. You should definitely consult and orthopedician and do a thorough imaging of your lower spine by Xrays and MRI preferably. Minor problems can be managed by pain medications, anti-inflammatory drugs, proper rest and posture. For now take one week bed rest and try not to move. Always avoid taking heavy weights or doing heavy exercise. If the problem is severe, you might need to undergo surgery for your spine. Hope this information helps you a lot. Take care.
