Suggest Remedy For Persistent Painful Anal Sores With History Of UTI And Bladder Infection
My Mom of 87 years just got out of the hospital suffering from a severe UTI and Bladder infection along with a yeast infection, under the breasts and also inside the crack of her buttocks (both sides) are blisters and reddness. Sent her home with some cream and powder, but has not helped. The sores are very painful needless to say especially in a sitting position. She tries to shift side to side, but still is very uncomfortable. They almost look like ulcers. I have been bathing the sores in luke warm water and applying the creams from the hospital, but I think the creams are making them worse. Any suggestions? Thank you.
* As per my clinical experience, the persistent painful anal sores with history of urinary tract infection and bladder infection indicates possible fungal or bacterial infection most likely.
* The creams many times provoke moisture and hence bacterial growth is exacerated.
* In my clinic, I do recommend swab test of the anal region for microbiologic analysis of the possible infection and curative guidelines accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
