Suggest Remedy For Pressure Wound On Buttocks
My husband has a pressure wound on his buttocks which is not healing. He cannot be turned - must lay on his back at 60 deg. position (he has COPD and a lot of mucus and must be suctioned. He is on an airless mattress . Is there any type mattress other than this on which he would not have the wound lying against - kind of like the donut or any other treatment besides saline wash and silver nitrate treatment and viscopaste?

I really appreciate your concern for your husband, I could guess that you must be talking it in the sense of bed soars, if you husband is bed ridden, if this is so then the mattress would be 'Electric motor generated water filled bed" which create the continues wave which prevent the continues pressure on certain point at the buttock, hope this information helps, take care.
