I have raised areas on a lot of places on my body. They are on my veins. Sometimes, the ones on the anticubetal area, pop and those are painful. Some are the size of a half dollar down to the size of a period. Any ideas on what they could be, how they could be diagnosed and what specialty would do that? They feel like nodules.
Hello I have gone through you question and I understand your concern quite well. These prominent veins and nodule feeling swellings may be some vascular thrombosisembolism disease. For diagnosis you can get a colour doppler study done.
After that according to its result you can visit a intervention radiologist for Diagnostic Angiography.
For these kind of problems now a days there good management available in intervention radiology.
Hope this will help you out.
Thanks for writing us. Feel free to write me back for further follow up with doppler report.
