Suggest Remedy For Rashes On Legs Post Vertical Patellar Fracture

My mother recently had a fall that resulted in a vertical patella fracture. A week later her lower legs developed some kind of rash. It is small bumps and reddish skin. It is not itchy, burning or painful. It is just there. The doctor told her to use lotion. We ve tried 6 different kinds of lotion and nothing is helping. The doctor said it was related to the trauma of the broken knee cap. I can t find any information online and she refuses to go to a dermatologist or another doctor. It isn t painful but it is aggravating her terribly. Can you offer any insight/suggestions. Thank you so much.

it seems you haven't consulted to orthopedician you should ask your mother to go to orthopedician and have a cylindrical cast(plaster that keeps fractured patellar bone immobilized and allow it to heal properly) her problem is not dermatological but orthopedic so have the cast done and keep that for 4-6 weeks and don't walk on that feetso that healing is fast and adequate
