Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Last year I had stomach surgery and was diagnosed with stomach cancer, it was all remove and I took chemo and radiation for precautionary measures. My scans have all come back clean and cancer free I wake in the middle of the night from regurgitating can you tell me how I can deal with this or should I go back to my Dr............I did have 1/3 of my stomach removed. Thank you
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood your concerns. Nice to know that your are cured of stomach cancer, took surgery, Chemo and Radiotherapy. Now have regurgitation in the middle of night. Please go back to the Doctor as your need an endoscopy, Barium studies to know the cause as the stomach is already removed and hence there is a possibility of stricture or so. Once diagnosed further management can be carried on properly. Since you have undergone a complicated surgery, Chemo and Radiation, you should be properly clinically investigated by the team of Doctors who operated you.
