Suggest Remedy For Severe Headaches

Hi, I was just told that my niece has a astrocytoma tumor on the side of her head,causing headaches, and sore to any pressure. How can I help her…she is 18? Sh ehas had an MRI as of 8 months ago. It seems to be growing slowly. Dr s said there was nothing to worry about,. To me her body is screaming for help.

Thank you for your question on HCM! I understand your concern.

I would like to have some more information on the location of the tumor inside her brain. As you refer it has grown slowly. This is a good sign indicating that it is a low grade glioma, benign tumor.

The treatment depends on the location of the tumor. If it is in the surface it can be removed with neurosurgery. If it is in the brainstem, the problem gets really complicated and other options are available like : wait and see or radiotherapy.

I recommend you to consult with your neurosurgeon for the above mentioned options.
