Suggest Remedy For Severe Heartburn
I was on prednisone for a month due to having h1n1 virus. I now have a horrible problem with heartburn which is causing me to have bad coughing fits to the point of gagging and coughing along with loss of appetite. My doctor has now put me on 300mg ranitidine once a day to take with dinner but the problem still persists at all hours of the day. What can I do?

Your symptoms seem to be related to heartburn.
I suggest you use antacids such as Maalox.
I also recommend to use PPI medication such as Omeprazole.
