Suggest Remedy For Severe Pain In Ilium And Sacrum

My dad has Ankulosing spondylitis startred at 19 yrs, he was put on rimycade infusions now at 79 he s been diagnosed with luekemia . They stopped the infusions, But he said that was the only drug that has ever helped him. He s in the hospital now in severe pain and can t walk more than a few steps with a walker. The area that hurts him I believe is called the ilium or the area in the middle called the Sacrum, my question is what could be causing such horrible pain?

hi,
it appear that the pain is related to ankylosing spondylosis itself, however ralerly leukaemia itself can cause pain.
I any case pain relief is at primary importance. Excellent pain relief are available these days with good safety profile.
As a last resort MOrphine can be used under care.

For the leukaemia per se, at age 79 lot depend on general condition and type of leukaemia, about the treatment options. even best supportive care can be opted to keep him pain free.

I feel a pain clinic visit will be worth, they can do nerve blocks which reduce dosage of painkillers required
