Suggest Remedy For Sharp Pain In Head After Injury
I got hit in the back of the head with a really firm pillow almost a week ago and I ve had a headache in the area and also neck pain since then. I m really worried and I don t know if i should visit a doctor. Today I felt two sharp pains in the area and threw up a little bit. Is it serious?
I can understand your concern. Pain at injury site can occur for 7-10 days. If you have swelling and redness at injury site, then pain can occur because of inflammation. The good thing is that you are conscious, oriented and able to do activities. You should worry if you are not getting relief in pain even after taking painkiller.
For relief in pain, you can try : Tablet Diclofenac sodium after proper prescription : You can apply painkiller ointment like Diclofenac gel over neck : You can get neck massage : If still no relief, you can consult doctor, he might examine you and advise CT head to rule out fracture. Usually fracture is managed conservatively. For pain, he can give you injectable painkiller like Diclofenac/Tramadol.
Hope it will help you.
Thanks.
Take care.
