Suggest Remedy For Sleep Disorders

Hallo, I am 56 years old and had so many sleeping problems...Now I have been taking 3 times a day 50mg of 5-htp plus for the night 125mg of L- Theanine. It does WONDERS for me and I tried soo much already....But I have been taking it for 6 month already and I ve read that you are not to do it much longer. I don t know what I am going to do then...any advice? Sincerely Elfriede

Dear HCM user

Yes it's not advisable to take medicines for long term for sleep difficulties. Since your sheep is much better. I will advice you to follow some simple steps and simultaneously taper and stop your medicines.
Sleep and wake up at a fixed time.
Don't sleep in day.
Exercise regularly in morning.
Use bed only for sleeping
Avoid tea, coffee or stimulating activities close to bed time.
Do some relaxing thing at night like listening to call music, relaxation, reading.
If you can't sleep for 15 minutes get up and do reading again until you feel sleepy.
Associate bed with sleep.
Don't worry in your bed.
Have a Glass of warm milk at night and take warm shower.
Following these will help you sleep better without medications.
