I have had severe sore throat for 4 days, no fever, mild congestion. Strep test was negative and PCP states it's a virus. My throat is not easing but getting worse and my glands are grossly swollen in my neck. Yesterday I used the neti pot and blew my nose and a bloody white mucous plug with vessels came out about the size of a walnut. My throat pain is the worst of my symptoms
