Suggest Remedy For Spasms In Stomach And Chest While On Zoloft

I have recently been taken off of Luvox after many years as I was experiencing additional anxiety. I was put on Zoloft and had side effects and well as Lexapro with side effects. Am back on Zoloft now and I feel terrible. I feel like I have spasms in my stomach and chest and always feel like I need to take a deep breath. I went to the ER last week and all tests were negative. I ve also had an echo cardiogram in the past month and all was well with that. I m at my wits end and don t know what to do. I am SO sensitive to meds and feel absolutely horrible! I am on 25 mg of zoloft now. What would you recommend? Thank you! Alice

Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the Zoloft (Sertaline) is associated with multiple side effects, but those related to GIT are:
- Nausea
- Abdomen bloating
- Diarrhea
- loss of appetite

As you are already consuming a proton pump inhibitor in form of Lexapro, I would recommend an addition of:
@ Anti-spasmodic as dicyclomine
@ Pre and pro biotics with lacto bacillus or sachromyosis bullardie

Discuss the need of any dose alteration so far as Zoloft is concerned with your doctor during next visit.
