Suggest Remedy For Stomach Pain And Vomiting With Low Grade Fever

My 16 year old has been sick since last night. Woke up with stomach pain and vomiting, but has not thrown up since this morning. I figured just stomach virus. Had very low fever at the time. This afternoon, no nausea and vomiting, but fever has hit 102 and Motrin has not halted it yet. Still has some central stomach pain, but nothing radiating. Nothing open for medical clinics, so wondering if that still might be a virus?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your child have symptoms of stomach pain and vomiting with low grade fever which seems to be due to acute gastroenteritis which is due to viral infection. Need not to owrry. I would suggest you to take a course of an antibiotic and metronidazole and probiotic.You should take Probiotics such as lactobacillus as well. Maintain hydration of child well. Give curd in diet. Start giving oral rehydration fluids sip by sip to maintain the hydration. Visit pediatrician once and get it examined. You should go for blood tests as well and start treatment after proper examination. you should give Ibuprofen to child along with proton pump inhibitors as well.
