Suggest Remedy For Swelling And Burning Sensation Of Eyelids Post Usage Of Eyelash Glue

I experienced a bad reaction to eyelash glue and used too many harsh products on my eyelids to get it off and now have irritation/burning/swelling. I used tiny amt of hydrocortisone cream, cold compress , and cucumbers. I have a near mode and headache. Should I be putting an ointment like neosporin on it...?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Usually irritation, burning and swelling of eye-lids due to eyelash glue goes itself within 3 days. To have some relief in your symptoms use of local hydrocortisone ointment and application of cold compresses is advised. If itching is there, OTC anti-itching like Cetirizine can be used. However, if the symptoms become more severe or persist after 3 days, then you are advised to see an ophthalmologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
