Suggest Remedy For Swollen And Bruised Cheeks After Wisdom Teeth Removal

Hi I got 4 wisdom teeth removed on Thursday and it's Tuesday now. I have slight discomfort because I still can completely bite down and my right cheek is still pretty swollen and bit bruised, which gets in the way of my bite. I haven't been able to chew anything at all. I took 800 mg of ibuprofen the first 4 days every 8 hours. Missed a dosage on the 5th day so I skipped it and continued taking it normally. However on the 6th day I didn't take it at all because I was no longer feeling any pain and the directions said take for pain as needed.however, I've been told ibuprofen helps to prevent inflammation. I've also been very light headed and dizzy since I woke up on the 6th day. Should I take the ibuprofen again to help the swelling or is there really no need??. The swelling hasn't been increasing but also isn't completely gone.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it is an inflammatory swelling which is caused after injury to the soft tissues after any surgical procedure..
The swelling will subside gradually and if there is no pain also you can continue taking Ibuprofen as it has anti-inflammatory action and also do cold compresses over the cheek as it will reduce inflammation and swelling..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
