General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms can be related to diabetes or gout which cause inflammation of the toes. I suggest to check the glycemic level and the uric acid level. Meanwhile, I suggest to continue the antibiotics. I also suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the inflammation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
