My 17 year old son practiced football without jock support. Hewas wearing boxers. He is complaining of pain in testicles. There is no rednessor swelling. Pain is mostly with movement especially when he bends forward. It will radiate into lower abdomen. Should we go to ER or would it be ok to wait untiltomorrow morning since there is no swelling?
Hi. Thanks for your query and an elucidate history. The pain in both the testicles with a history of football practice is suggestive of partial rotation of the testis along the spasm of the cremaster muscles which originate in the abdominal wall and support the testes. This is the reason the pain increases on bending. I would advise : First of all bed rest so that the abdominal muscles get rest. Pain killers and muscle relaxants. Scrotal support. You should go to Er for the following reasons. *Clinical examination *ultrasonography with color doppler examination
