Suggest Remedy For Throat Infection, Dry Cough And Fever In A Child With No Help From Medicines
Hi doctor, My daughter -09 years- is having throat infection with dry cough and fever around 101 for the last 04 days now. Have been giving L-cin 5ml BD and calpol 5ml after 06 hours. Still the issue persists although with some improvement. pls suggest

Most probably your child has got pharyngitis and it happened mostly due to viral infection. So, no antibiotic will effective in this condition but don't worry it is very easy to treat. the following may help you.........
1. gargling by luke warm water with a tinged of salt.
2. vitamin C tablets 250 mg twice a day (chewable)
3. a cough suppressant syrup (not syrup which contain ambroxol, it is for productive cough.
