Suggest Remedy For Throbbing Toe Pain

Hi. I am having random swelling and pain in toes and fingers. It is debilitating, I cannot bend whatever toe or finger it is, not up or down. Last week it was my pinky toe, in which I went to urgent care for because it swelled and i no longer could walk on that foot. They said it was an infection and gave me antibiotics and prednisone. Today, that toe is back to normal but now it is in my thumb really bad..swelling, throbbing, unable to use it at all because of pain. please help?
