I have just had about one tablespoon of dark orange colour watery fluid run out of my right nostril. I am currently feeling tender on the right side of my face with a slight headache only on the right side. I have had a swollen lymph gland under my right arm for the last two days which yesterday it gave me a lot of discomfort. Also the lymph gland behind my right ear is slightly swollen. On the 24Feb14 my GP put me on a 5 day course of Rulide 300mg because the gland behind my right ear was swollen and had an infection. It had cleared up. What do you recommend I should do?@
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of watery fluids in nose which is due to sinusitis/ upper respiratory tract infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take steam inhalation as it will give soothing effects. Use mist humidifiers in room. Do warm saline gargles along with vaporizers. Your symptoms will resolve in one week. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined if symptoms keeps on persisting. You should get paranasal sinus X-ray done and go for blood and sputum test as well. Avoid intake of outside food and avoid touching and pricking nostril with any sharp object.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
