Suggest Remedy For Weight Loose After Taking Metformin

I am a type 2diabetic metformin er 500 I was put on by mr endocrinologist I started loosing weight and my aonec is 6.4the doctor told me to stop and asked me to take glucotrol 10 xl after dinner I checked my blood sugar it is 250 is I to.k? Thanks. Shanthi

I hope I've understood the point of your question because some parts of your writing are not very clear. So you started with metformin 500mg and then your doctor asked you to stop metformin and start glucotrol xl.
This is a strange decision. I don't know why your doctor decided that (on what grounds I mean). Did he/she explain why?
250 is not a good measurement even if it's right after the meal. If it's a fasting measurement then this is very very bad. It seems that you need a combination of drugs to get your blood glucose under control. The glucosylated hemoglobin value would have been very helpful to judge that.

Loosing weight is good thing for overweight patients with diabetes. I don't know if loosing weight is something you didn't want, because this is not clear in your description.
